What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God
(2 Timothy 3:16)
Our God is one, but manifested in three persons--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-14)
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world (Romans 3:10,23)
Salvation is the gift of God to man through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16)
The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life
(John 3:3)
Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only (Romans 6:4)
Healing is the privelege of every member of the church today provided through Jesus' death on the cross
(Matthew 8:17)
We believe that Jesus will return to build his kingdom on earth and fully establish the covenant of God. (Revelation 22:20)
Those who physically die in sin without accepting Christ are eternally lost and have no more opportunity to hear the gospel and be saved (Hebrews 9:27)
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift and is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Matthew 3:11)
We believe in sanctification, which is living a life of Holiness (Romans 12:1-2)
We take communion as a symbol and memorial of what Jesus did on the cross for all mankind (Matthew 26:26-28)
